What is worship like at FLC?
Music is an important element of our Lutheran worship and our ministry at First Lutheran therefore we are including choir as part of our Sunday school educational program. We are pleased to announce that Liz Tweeten will be directing our Children and Youth Choir. The goal is to have our Children and Youth Choir sing at the 10:30 AM worship once a month.
Join the fun every Sunday morning at First Lutheran!
Our worship services are steeped in the Scripture as well as the Lutheran tradition. Each and every Sunday we seek to offer praise to God, preach the word to His people, and share the sacrament (Holy Communion) in His name.
Kids are welcome in worship!
All are welcome to sing, pray, share His peace with one another, and commune in Christ's name so that we may go forth to serve the Lord and share His light. We see worship as a time to renew our call to teach, baptize, and make disciples (Matthew 28:16-20).
Our Liturgy rotates weekly and worship styles range from traditional to contemporary. Liturgy is based on the Revised Common Lectionary, a collection of readings from the Bible for use in Christian Worship across denominations, making provision for the liturgical year with a pattern of observances of festivals and seasons.
